Friday 26th August: Sirkis/Bialas
International Quartet. A fresh new collaboration between
Israeli UK-resident drummer/composer, Asaf Sirkis, and Polish
vocalist/composer, Sylwia Bialas, and featuring Frank Harrison on piano
and keyboards and Scottish bassist, Kevin Glasgow. Expect an evening of
soulful melodies covering a wide range of influences
including contemporary classical music, Polish folk, and South Indian
and Middle Eastern music. £5 (gig only) and £14 (gig and mezze)
Friday 2nd September:
Andy Sheppard's Pushy Doctors.
A great ‘anarchistic’ ride
through standards of jazz pop and beyond by this hard swinging ‘out
there’ classic organ trio. Formed to play in the
deep club/bar environment this disrespectful grooving band can really blow the roof off.
Andy Sheppard (saxophones),
Dan Moore (keys) &
Tony Orrell (Drums). Tickets £10 (gig only - seated). Limited number of tables available for £18 (gig & mezze).
